The Institute for Human Sciences (Institut für die Wissenschaften vom Menschen - IWM) and the Polish Academy of Sciences are organizing the next edition of the "ERC Mentoring Initiative" workshop on 5 and 6 November 2021. The event is supported by the Ministry of Science and Higher Education.
The event is addressed to scientists representing social sciences and humanities who plan to apply for European Research Council (ERC) Starting and Consolidator grants, i.e. those being, respectively, 2 to 7 years and 7 to 12 years after obtaining a PhD degree.
The meeting is devoted to refining the concept of the research idea that the scientist intends to present in the ERC project application. During the two-day series of meetings, participants will have the opportunity to present their research idea and consult it with invited mentors - panelists and ERC grant winners.
Participation in the workshops is free of charge. Applications are accepted until September 16, 2021 via the registration form: https://forms.gle/htL3sae3KvH4KcAcA.
Based on the information provided in the application form, the Office for Scientific Excellence of the Polish Academy of Sciences will select 5 workshop participants.
