Purpose of the call:
Programme is to allow prominent Polish scientists to return to their country and take up employment at Polish higher education institutions, scientific units or research institutes. The Programme will create optimal conditions for returning scientists to conduct world-class scientific research or developmental work in Poland. Polish higher education institutions, scientific units and research institutes will acquire specialists with international experience and knowledge in the field of the newest research trends in their scientific discipline.
The Programme includes 2 tracks, depending on the stage of the returning scientist’s academic career:
- Junior scientist
- Experienced scientist.

Application Deadline:
The deadline for submitting applications to NAWA is 29 July 2021, 3:00:00 pm (local time for Warsaw) in the Agency's ICT system.
JU Internal Regulations:
Pursuant to the JU Vice-Rector’s Regulation No. 56 of 11 July 2016 on: Regulations for the preparation and implementation of projects financed from external sources at the Jagiellonian University, persons interested in participating in the competition, please submit to CAWP:
- by 19 July, 2021:
- the draft version of the application for formal checking and verification (in the form of a pdf file) to the address of the call supervisor at CAWP,
- completed Research Project Declaration Form and Form for evaluating the eligibility of VAT in the project completed in the electronic system of the JU Project Zone available at: https://strefaprojektow.uj.edu.pl/. Instructions for filling in the form are available at: https://cawp.uj.edu.pl/strefa-projektow,
- by 26 July 2021 - the final version of the application (electronic version sent as a PDF file with a qualified signature): project manager and Dean of the Faculty or as appropriate to the specificity of the unit.
- (electronic version as a pdf file, document signed with an electronic qualified signature) to the address of the CAWP Project Advisor. Required signatures: the inviting person and the head of the organisational unit of the Jagiellonian University (Dean - in the case of a faculty or Director/Manager of another organisational unit).
Out of concern for the quality of submitted projects, especially in terms of meeting formal requirements, we encourage you to consult applications and submit documents to CAWP at earlier dates than listed above.
Way of submission:
Only in electronic form in the Agency's Information and Communication System/// COMPLETE APPLICATION//.
Submission of an Application constitutes acceptance of the contents of the Regulations and the Announcement.
